Have you ever had a Sundae… on a Saturday? An Ice Cream Sundae?
Well! I never!
That sounds blasphemous! Sundaes belong on Sunday… well it sounds like they should!
(Just Kidding!)
Today Neal and I enjoyed this delicious (before named) creamery delight.
Out of the blue, “Let’s take a sweet treat break” Neal proclaimed.
Ice cream? “Sure!” “Yum!” (So glad I have lactose enzyme pills at the ready!)
Soon after we were sitting in our home office sundaes in hand, Neal in his Ikea wingback chair. He started eating his as I was taking “hundreds of photos”, my ice cream melting.
Saturday, Me, blogging, I mean “breaking” at my desk.
Vanilla ice cream, buttery Carmel sauce, pecans and pistachios (whole and crushed), with the preverbal “cherry” on top. So Yum!!!
Today Neal and I enjoyed an afternoon lunch and hike at our very local state park.
Skidaway Island State Park is just around the bend and the perfect outdoors getaway here in Savannah.
Our hike along the Big Ferry Trail had various spots overlooking the marshes. Like at many state parks hikers are encouraged to photograph the terrain and share how it changes over time and in different seasons.
Mornings can be so wonderful just sitting back in my IKEA Wingback chair with a cup of Joe.
Whip on top, Mocha and Donut Shop coffee.
Santa watches over his peppermint candy canes. I might have been naughty and deprived him of one cane. Don’t tell Santa, he knows when you been… you know the rest.
Neal and I decided enjoyed one of our favorite treats…
Having a delicious Sundae on a Sunday!!
So yummy, right?
Rich Tillumook Neapolitan ice cream, cold coffee, pecans, pistachio nuts, and the most tasty peppermint bark for Sonoma Williams.
Get your dessert spoons ready!
To enjoy our Sunday treat we settled down in our IKEA winged back chairs and I noticed Santa with his signature peppermint candy canes. Sorry to a bit naughty but Santa you have get your own.
While snacking with YouTube holiday tunes playing Benny decided get into his comfort spot…Neal’s lap.
