Right in front of our apartment, daily this lone dragonfly perched on the skeleton of a small gardenia tree that strangely died from all the excessive heat.
With the gardenia replaced, he has moved to another planter that has a wooden dowel holding up a Devil’s Backbone, a succulent. (Hey, I didn’t come up with the name).

Neal and I have had many adventures traveling to the various state parks in Georgia. On our trip to the Stephen C. Foster State Park May 2021, I got the distinct impression that nature truly ruled here in the Okefenokee Swamp. Everywhere we turned there were animals and insects doing the nature thing. Don’t mind us humans here!
Dragonflies were everywhere and on everything at Stephen C Foster State Park, Fargo, Georgia. Surprisingly I could walk right up to them with my cell phone and take a picture.
