Today at my church’s Lenten Taize Service (online), we worshiped our Lord with individuals from 300 Christian churches and organisations located in every county on the island of Ireland. This was especially close to me because my husband’s family “Saye” is from Ireland. This Saint Patrick’s Day let us sing and worship in harmony.
Listen…
Blessing of St. Patrick
May the Wisdom of God instruct us. May the Hand of God protect us. May the Way of God direct us. May the Shield of God defend us. Amen.
St. Patrick’s Day Festival, Emmett Park. Tara Feis – Irish Festival in Savannah, Georgia 2015
Headlining the festival was FullSet, one of Ireland’s most accomplished and sought-after bands in Irish Traditional Music today. Young and exciting stirred up a sound that was full of energy & innovation, whilst all the time showing true to their traditional roots.
Irish band FullSet offered a lively tune…
Three fair maidens answered the call…
A challenge was given to dance…
She gladly accepted, and dance she did…
Those on the stage soon joined in…
Fiddle and pipes stoked the flames of a passionate dancer…
So the went dance on… Fiddle and fingers, feet and dance, sweat-smile-passion. Eyes met, rhythms intertwined… A moment captured… Messy Hair
A soul free!
This post is part of a series of photographs inspired by a birthday gift I received from my good friends Donnie and Kinzie. (Kinzie is an awesome photographer with her own bragging rights. Check it out. Kinzie Ferguson Photography.) They both knew I was trying to learn this whole digital photography thing and suggested the best way to learn is… to take more pictures! Wow! Rocket science! Who knew? My gift, a book of photo ideas. Two for every week of the year, 104.
