So we did a little bit of traveling this past weekend. Savannah to Atlanta, Georgia. I know they are so close, SAV – ATL! Why not right!? We found the perfect Airbnb rental in midtown very close to all our planned activities.
While at our little airbnb, I still had to work on and publish my daily blog. Handy iPad Pro w/keyboard and apple pencil make blogging on the go a snap.
Neal (Nealenjoy.com) and I enjoyed a morning cup of joe while we fine tuned our blog posts together.
That year (2022) for the holiday Neal and I planned the family gathering at our closest state park. During covid times we collectively agreed to meet as family in a large outdoor place instead of cramming into anyone’s small place.
As now our tradition is having “Thanksgiving at Skidaway Island State Park!”
It’s always best to arrive early before folks are standing around and you “need” to ask someone to “help” set things up. Just the way Neal likes it!
Nature rules here! That’s why we love gathering in this place!
Joy, laughter, turkey, napkins and selfies are all in perfect order on this day!

Today I was the cook, the driver, the setting up guy, the server, and the family photographer! I love wearing many hats. Yes, I did dress up for “state parking” in official “Georgia State Park” shirt and hiking boots! So glad you noticed.
We were so thankful to have as a whole, 20 members of the family together. Grand parents, daughters, sons, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many grandchildren including 2 home from college.

Today’s walking adventure happened to be mid-afternoon. We headed across town to a favorite community park with a walking loop (sidewalk) around a picturesque shimmering lake.
A walk around Lake Mayer provided many opportunities for taking in nature’s grand beauty.
