March, April, May…? Who even knows what month this is. Life surely has put me in a crunch but I’m committed to my fellow Photogs with sharing my pictures.

The Writing is on the Wall: Graffiti Series 18 Hodge Podge Coffee Wall
For me one of the best meals of the day is breakfast. And by breakfast I mean cute little coffee houses that are off the beaten trail. They are often tucked into the many neighborhoods all around Atlanta and there can usually be found a mural or two! Like Joe’s in East Atlanta Village. See their ceiling mural below. Does it remind you of some famous work of art?

Michelangelo’s Creation of Coffee?

Today our search, still is EAV (East Atlanta Village) has us stopping at HodgePodge Coffee House, 720 Moreland Ave SE. A series of art works seem to wrap themselves around the building and I’m hooked even before I get my first cup of java!

The Writing is on the Wall: Graffiti Series 17 Puddles
I enjoy traveling through the many neighborhoods in Atlanta if not for their diversity of styles, then for the hidden murals that can be found all over. Driving along it can be difficult to stop and “snap” a mural. I usually have to proceed a couple of blocks, then find parking and walk back.

These expressive eyes on a brick wall made me do just that. The artist must have known his work would “interrupt” the lives of everyday people momentarily passing this spot.

The Writing is on the Wall: Graffiti Series 16 Rain and Color Splash
Bike riding in Savannah, Georgia. Along one bike lanes just off Atlantic Ave there is a mural on the side of a shed or garage. After passing on many occasions I decided to take a closer look and snap some photos.
