    Lately I have had my trusty iPhone Pro Max in my hand everywhere I go. I recently remember why I loved the feel of an actual “camera”, my Canon. The experience is night and day. The approach, totally different and satisfying too. So I decided that I will no longer deny myself and with camera in hand, get back out there a start “Snapping” 📸

    Sunday Stills: Fountains and Waterfalls – Water Water Everywhere #280

    Toccoa Falls

    A beautiful 186-foot-high waterfall, Toccoa Falls is one of the tallest free-falling waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. It is located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College, a four-year, fully accredited Christian college.

    A meandering stream flows through the lower part of the 1,000-acre, wooded campus from the base of the waterfall. This spectacular waterfall, higher than Niagara Falls, is a popular tourist attraction and campus retreat. The short 100-yard path to the falls is handicap accessible.

    Today’s walking adventure happened to be mid-afternoon. We headed across town to a favorite community park (Lake Mayer), walking the loop (sidewalk) around a picturesque shimmering lake.

    Today’s walking adventure happened to be mid-afternoon. We headed across town to a favorite community park with a walking loop (sidewalk) around a picturesque shimmering lake.

    A walk around Lake Mayer provided many opportunities for taking in nature’s grand beauty.

    I love this baby pine tree enjoying the lake view.

    After reading “The Ecology of A Cracker Childhood” by Janisse Ray, (Great book! I recommend it!), I began to notice these magnificent trees were all around Georgia, not just in the state parks. Please check out the post below too.
