Dear Harold, Tub,
It is such a delight to be a part of your life and I love it when you smile or laugh! In a few months you will be 96 years old, a milestone for anyone by all standards and somehow you continue to brighten the lives of everyone around you!

I marvel at how the simple things in life mean so much to you, like sunshine, birdsongs and honeysuckle growing on a vine in the trees along the path you travel in your wheelchair.
This Thursday I hope many readers will take time to know a little about you and be inspired to connect soulfully/more deeply with someone they see or know or even that stranger they often notice.
The Faces Project:
If everyday we see could really see just one person….

I turned 95 Nov 2018. I built my house, a discount store for the community and fallout shelters with my own two hands! No cranes, no bulldozers! I was married 72 years before my dear wife passed away. I sure do miss her!

I love pork rinds. Favorite snack. I used to cook a lot. Fried corn sometimes and I made pear preserves. I go by the nickname “TUB“. Why the name tub? (He laughs!) I was fat baby! (More shared laughter!)

Veteran. I served in WWII. Navy. I was a machinist.

I like TV Land. Bonanza, Andy Griffin Show, and Gunsmoke. Festus makes me laugh.
