Lens Artists Photo Challenge 88: An Artist Creates in Chaos

While honeymooning in Asheville, NC, we planned to go to the well known Arts District. Once there we discovered there were many shops, galleries and artist studios along the walk. I happened upon a studio with an open, “all are welcome” sign.

Beautiful paintings of all sizes lined the gallery you see apon entering. For sale and award stickers were placed on many paintings. Then I saw, “this way to artist studio”. I was intrigued!

Yes, I have heard there is order in chaos. When looking at this artist’s workspace, I questioned the genius in his ability to make sense of what lay before my eyes. Color, paint, dribbles, splashes, brushes, everywhere. Did I say COLOR?! On the floor, on the walls, on canvas, on brushes. On me? I had to look!

It was magical! It was maddening! I wanted to photograph it all!

Could any brush here unlock the creation unseen in this room? In this artist?

Beauty found in the random!
