It can be said that here in Savannah, Georgia there is a bit of a drinking problem in this drinking town. Known for its Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration (drunk feast), Savannah has the second largest in the United States and we have the very popular “open container ordinace” NOG (North of Gaston street), which leads to the problem… litter!
Not just trash mind you. Actual beer and alcohol containers just left lying around. Walking around looking for beauty, historic architecture, spanish moss and there you have it… bottles can cans. See what I mean!
Many people from around the world come to Savannah, Georgia for a taste of historic flavor and leave after seeing our historic problem, litter from our historical drinking and partying! Oh this is not a once a year, “I’m sorry it will never happen again!”, litter. Happens almost every day.
