What is Robert Cooking?

Nothing! Robert may do a lot of meals, but in this house Neal is the undisputed “King of Salads”!

Summer lunch my friends, what to do?

Folks, Friends, hungry readers. I said this before, It is far too hot in Savannah during the Summer months for turning on the stove. Thankfully, lunch can still be something cool and delicious.

How about a French salad? Pronounced ‘saˈlad niˈswaz’.

It is traditionally made of tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, Niçoise olives and anchovies or tuna, dressed with olive oil, or in some historical versions, a vinaigrette.

Neal builds his without the olives or anchovies. Blueberries and a white flesh peach were a fresh, delicious addition.

When Neal makes a salad, he goes all out. We like like to call these “Big Salads” a term we got from Dr Fuhrman. He says “Salad is the Main Dish”.

Ok, grab a fork. Time to eat!

  1. Not only delicious, but pretty! Neal did a great job, and I appreciate you including the pronunciation of Niçoise. I’ve been butchering it all my life, but now I know.

    1. Author

He is my go to salad guy! The spelling was for me as much as for everyone else, glad to help with that.

  2. A beautifully delicious post, babe! But excuse me, why wasn’t I featured more prominently in that gorgeous video?
