The Look Back: June 2013

We’re going back to June 2013 for this little interruption to Benny’s siesta. He had tucked himself beneath a blanket, and I happened to find him. His cat cave I call it. I was making the bed, you can probably guess which one of us was pleased about that!
A blanket overhead, his paws beneath his chin… Benny had made himself quite comfortable.
I can almost hear him: “You found me. Excitement is over, move on.”
Apparently, photography hours were over!
What I notice now
Looking back at this photograph, I find myself looking straight into Benny’s eyes. His head is still resting on his paws, but he’s watching me. I came away with a picture; he looks as though he would have preferred a little more privacy!
A moment from the original
Back in 2013, I wrote:
“The usually playful Benny was not ready to give up his secret cat napping spot.”
I’m glad his hiding place made it onto my “Snap” spot. That sweet kitty face still deserves a second look! Wouldn’t you agree?
