Trios Plus One!

Well you don’t need an itenerary when the suitcases come out the closet at home. Our three buddies knew it was time to set “their” plans in action.

Quick move now, asked for permission later!

They sneak into bags, turn up where we least expect them, and somehow become part of the up coming trip. Travel buddies had a request on this visit to Florida, “Can we spend time with Jayrod?

Who…? Hmmm…. you don’t remember Jayrod?

We met our star-spangled unicorn friend during a July Fourth stay in Florida. TiB: Neal wanted to decorate the condo for the holidays, napkins and such.

Sadly, when we headed home, Jayrod stayed behind.
Apparently nobody told him the Travel Buddies would be back..

Before the next adventure, Jayrod checks the weather like any sensible traveler.

There he was, checking the Ponte Vedra weather and tides for the day like we had never left. Hello? Hello? Anybody here with me?

A good friend can be hard to find—especially when he keeps hiding around the condo.

Then one familiar little face appeared beside the others. “Hi, Travel Buddies! What’s new?”

Searching High and Low

We checked the obvious places first. That was our mistake.

Searching high turned out to be exactly the right idea.

A brick niche. The top of a mirror. Jayrod clearly had been entertaining himself while we were away. Ok, Some friends simply wait at the door. but we all have “that special friend”. (You know exactly who I’m talking about, don’t you?) Others make you work for the reunion. Surprise!

Before Jayrod, there were three the dependable little travelers who somehow always find room in the luggage. Uber was apparently not available. The trio know to  leave a little extra space for a friend to sneak back home with them.

Good Friends Always Catch Up

Sometimes a friend drops back into our lives and the conversation continues almost exactly where it stopped. No ceremony needed just a familiar face, hugs and a little time to catch up.
