    “No hopping today, seems I caught me a ride.“

    One day as I traveled a little side road, US-280W, on my way to Glennville from Savannah, I had to stop and photograph what I called Lost America.  It was like time had slowed down just enough for cars to catch a glimpse of yester-year.  I jumped out, iPad Air in hand and snapped away.  Walking back to my car, I spotted a stowaway.  A hidden traveler.  It was a little grasshopper on my tire by the side of the road.

    Now where did that little green guy think he was going?  Even more, where had he been? Did I miss the signpost up ahead that read… “The Twilight Zone”.

    Stopping to “smell the roses” earlier this week, and getting real close to one, I noticed something. On a petal of this yellow rose was a tiny green grasshopper. “Hello tiny friend!”, I greeted him. Such a beautiful sight, the yellow and the green!

    How I love to travel to North Georgia. Mountain cabins, towns with trains traveling down Main Street and apple orchards! Making my way to the Panorama Apple House, Panorama Orchards in Ellijay is a must. All the orchards in the area keeps them continually stocked with apple goodness.

    While there I have been know to eat a fresh fried apple pie or maybe a peach and soda pop out side on the deck. This particular day in November we were joined by many multicolored ladybugs. We shared our picnic table not the fruit pies!

    Macro Monday: I Met a Stink Bug in Ellijay

    Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

    These insects are an invasive bugs from China, Japan and Korea that now live in North Georgia. I was enjoying fresh fried apple pies at the famous Panorama Farms Market, better know as the Panorama Apple House, located in Ellijay. This little bug happened to be crawling on our picnic table.

    Thank goodness he did not display the “stinky” characteristic of his name!
