So Squarefriends we are at the end of another month and why not head out on a high note! For the final Squaretree post this month let us visit “Wormsloe“. Georgia State Parks lists this as a Historic Place right here in Savannah, Georgia.
Known for its breathtaking avenue sheltered by Live Oaks and Spanish moss, pictures of Wormsloe can be found all over the South and on the internet. Oil paintings, watercolor, amazing prints on glass backed wall mounted gallery prints.
On any given day you will see people lined up for their chance to get a selfie, a group shot, family photo or to catch the magic “golden hour” picture. Majestic Live Oaks and sun set light streaming through to branches.

Today we are at nearby Gordonia Atamaha State Park (later renamed Jack Hill State Park) .
There were so many wonders to behold in nature! Lakes and trees, trails and birds. Then I spotted against a mighty Pine Tree, a little caterpillar.
He was making his way up the massive trunk. Climbing into grooves, over sap and loose bark.
This little guy was determined to get there!
He climbed through tangles of Spanish Moss that draped everywhere on the tree with ease.
