Throwback Thursday: I enjoyed this post about a day walking in a beautiful historic cemetery!
A portrait captures a moment that’s gone forever, they are impossible to reproduce. Street Photography: Togetherness. My goal in this series is to create a really awesome frame of this person existing because they allowed me time to share their world.
Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia. One of Atlanta’s actual public parks, Historic Oakland Cemetery may seem like an odd place among the tombs to photograph portraits but two couples saw me snappin pictures of the beautiful flowers everywhere near the cemetery’s visitors center. They thought I was a photographer, asked if i could honor them with a few pictures. Next they handed me their camera and two cell phones to capture the moment. Thankful they were pleased, so I then asked if I could take their portrait for my blog. One man replied, “See I told you he was a real photographer!” I quickly handed out my blog cards to maintain the illusion.
This couple was nuzzled under a spectacularly blooming pink flowering tree, yet their matching green attire instantly got my attention. Oh that and the fact they seemed to be romantically lost in each other’s gaze.
