Disney Cruise September 2018. We made port in Nassau, Bahamas. Of corse Neal and I had to see the historic sites. Destination: Queen’s Staircase.

Such a breath taking site!

The Queen’s Staircase, commonly referred to as the 66 steps, is a major landmark that is located in the Fort Fincastle Historic Complex in Nassau. We were told it had been dug out of solid limestone rock by 600 slaves between 1793 and 1794 and that it provided a direct route from Fort Fincastle to Nassau City.

We were given a reputable guide who took a group of us “tourists” to a market place located at Fort Fincastle, then we toured the Fort and walled to the hidden staircase.

We were not disappointed!
