Cees Black and White Photo Challenge: Indoor Outdoor Steps

Sadly you can’t climb these historic steps. They are the actual stairs built in 1753. During a day trip to Philadelphia (from our recent stay in the Poconos), we the toured National Parks Historic Site, Independence Hall. The place where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.

Walking through Central Park, you will see many outcroppings of rock. Did you know New York was built on three layers of rock known as Manhattan Schist, Inwood Marble and Fordham Gneiss? Some park goers climb on the massive stones and take selfies, meditate or enjoy the breeze, while others like Neal and I simply climbed the huge stone steps between the rock boulders.
