Forsyth Park, morning exercise walk. What did I see?
Cicadas.
Yes, those load winged cicadas have emerged after their 17 year hibernation. Time to make up for lost time!
Well, It seems this guy didn’t get to experience too much life since waking up. He became the meal of a spider who wanted to announce his marvelous catch to all the world.
Strung up by his legs on tiny thin (strong) webs, visible to all traveling along the walking path. Aged to perfection, this yummy cicada might feed him for a while.
But wait… Look closely.
Mr. Cicada has pulled a Houdini and molted right out of this dinner date leaving just his exoskeletal shell.
