Travel has a habit of placing the improbable directly in our path. During a visit to Columbus, Georgia, Neal and I stayed in a gorgeously renovated old mill turned boutique hotel mere steps away from the Chattahoochee River and the Chattahoochee Riverwalk. 

This riverwalk seemed well traveled. Time to wander somewhere unfamiliar, on the right scenery, history, rapids of the river.

Discovery is simply the moment the ordinary appears where we never expected to find it.

While sauntering along one day I noticed a glimmer just at the edge of sight. Sunlight catches something small enough to stop us, an object on the path off the riverwalk towards the water.  Behold a quarter!

Ok, twenty-five cents was enough to changed my direction.
