Thanksgiving Day I was the cook, the driver, the setting up guy, the server, and the family photographer! I love wearing many hats. And I was wearing a hat… ha ha!
Yes, I did dress up for “state parking” in my cool official “Unicoi Georgia State Park” shirt and hiking boots! (Lookin good Robert!) Thank you! So glad you noticed.
As “The” Family Photographer members finally gave me the legal right to tell them what to do.
Everyone move to left and look a little to the right. (Neal says I’m just being Bossy)! And suddenly the group bursts into laughs and are all smiles!
OK everyone! Let’s that Tripod in place please…check✔️, Moment magnet iPhone holder set… check✔️, IPhone 13 Pro Max charged, in landscape mode and on portrait setting… check✔️ check✔️ check✔️!
Ok, quiet on the set… I mean shoot… Creative genius at work here, don’t block my muse. (Amy laughs, yes it was funny!)
Stand there! No here, not there. Turn left, my left your right. Smile! Sit. Stand. Roll over!
You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.

What do you think? Now go, let’s live life to the fullest!
Unless you were like my Grandma Mollie Smith. Affectionately called “Mollie B”. I lived with Mollie B for a year during high school. School was across town by bus in Baltimore, but I could walk a few blocks from her house.
She was born in a little town in Virginia to a very poor family and when she was young, records were not well kept so she ended up with two birth certificates and two birthdates. For years she would alternate which date she wanted.
One in February and one September. Our family decided to celebrate in February.
Well, my birthday is June 19th and now I’m 56.
That certainly sounds strange since all our friends call me “the baby” or “the young one”.
I think I’ll do only one birthday this year, I’m quite sure Mollie B won’t mind if she had not past in 2019.
Here’s to another year and I dedicate it the young one in me! Buckle up, you are invited to come along for the ride.
