    Saturday was usually our bagel day but this morning (Thursday) Neal (NealEnjoy.com) suggested we brave the heat and go have some delicious wood fired bagel sandwiches. Hey, who am I to turn down such an offer.

    Where can you find @robertsnapspot on any given Saturday morning? I’ll tell you. Big Bon Bodega. They make the best variety of bagel sandwiches. Wood fired bagels! What! Who knew such a thing even existed let alone that you could buy one or a dozen?

    Search Instagram for #bigbonbodega. See that I’m not making this up. It’s more than a breakfast/lunch hangout, more like a community watering hole where all are invited!

    Every Saturday, come rain or shine there is always a line. Yes! A socially distanced line. Bike there, drive there, heck even Uber there. You can order online and skip the line. Not your “cup of tea”? The line awaits. Many folks from the neighborhood walk up and enjoy their deliciousness while sauntering back home through the hip midtown area full of life waking up. Take a seat at the nearby park. Your choice.

    I’m sorry did I make you hungry? Are you now jonesing for a bagel sized, hand held culinary delight? Well you know where to be next Saturday.

    People Portraits: Friends at Starbucks

    A portrait captures a moment that’s gone forever, they are impossible to reproduce. Street Photography today on Broughton Street, Savannah, Georgia. My goal in this series is to create a really awesome frame of this person existing because they allowed me time to share their world.

    I usually like to take morning walks through Savannah’s Historic District where I live. First on the agenda today was coffee and empanadas at corner java stop, Blends. My favorite coffee spot, Starbucks was a few steps away on the adjacent corner. Hopefully the baristas over there could not see me sitting in the window seats at Blends but Starbuck’s menu could not tempt me like hand made spicy meat pies.

    Ok, I did feel a little guilty after my mocha latte and flakey pastry so Neal and I began our walk in the direction of Starbucks. I always try to keep and keen eye open for the “Kodak Moments” that happen while the world moves at mind dizzying speed. Passing the large window to my left I glimpsed a such a moment. Walking a few more steps processing what I thought I saw I stopped. Wait!

    Neal, did you see that? (An extremely rhetorical question!) See what he replied. (Of course he didn’t!) I quickly ran back to the window, tapped gently not to shock the ladies seated and motioned them to re-live the moment I witnessed. Surprised and touched they did! “Friends at Starbucks”

    A rare, blessed moment I share with you. Be ready, be open to see, to celebrate the “moments” so often missed.
