Parent says hold on tight. Child smiles the strings unfurling through little fingers. Child crying! (Too many words?)
I see the ‘letting go’ now. Without the parent and/or child context, it looks like the tree is holding on to the balloons, the strings entangled in its branches, NOT letting them go :)
