Every time I drive pass wildflowers springing up on the side of the road I marvel at their freedom to grow and spread where ever they want. Turns out these flowers have a name. Gaillardia x grandiflora. Wow! that’s a mouthful. The beauty of this flora has earned it the name “Arizona Sun” and “Arizona Red Shades“. You can tell by its vibrant colors why that name fits. These are classified under blanket flowers.
