I had to have fun with the title. That line is stuck in my head from that song! Sometimes when you are celebrating being as old as I am you don’t actually have the time to write a post on your birthday. Actual date was June 19th. Several other events occurred of the 19th but that’s for another post.
Welcome to the after party! Yes, who would have thought this guy (me) would be 55 years old? Time moves quickly and next thing you know you’re hitting the brakes when you see the sign say “Now entering the senior side of life”!
Speaking of drive at 55. Hey this is a car I sure could drive! Want to start a “Go Fund Me” campaign? I won’t mind! Ha Ha!
Family help make the day so much fun! They took me out for lunch, the text messages flooded in, card are displayed in the living room and facebook wishes were viewed. Friends even bought the first beer at my favorite watering hole.
But I gotta tell you… This squirrel has to give in to taking a nap or rest-full lying down these days.
My morning surprise was laid out for me on the coffee table by my true love, Neal (NealEnjoy.com). I was just so happy and grateful to have him by my side that day!
Let’s see what the coming year has in store me as race headlong towards 56.
