Monochrome Monday
Back in 2021 during our State Park Adventuring time Neal and I stayed in an original cabin built in 1935 by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps or better known as the “CCC“.
Franklin D Roosevelt State Park became a place we loved and would return to again.
Fast forward a few years to now, our travels are more about Farm Passport Adventuring and back to FDR State Park. Yes, we were just here Dec 2023 but that is a different blog post.
It just so happened that the only cabin available was directly next door (actually across the road but that counts too)!

Bedroom in Monochrome
What a cabin! In near perfect condition from the 1930’s. Incredibly massive logs, huge flagstone floors and iron work latches on doors!

This beauty is best seen in monochrome to magnify the rugged nostalgic feel of a mountain cabin in the woods that cannot be compared with “new vacation condos”.
