Red-bellied Watersnake on Lake Weston, Congaree National Park, South Carolina.

Standing at the overlook of Weston Lake. I think we stood there about ten minutes. We greet and enjoy a brief conversation with other National Parks nerds, when they call us back to the same spot and pointed down branches in the water.

Yes, this beauty was silently sunning on those branches. He perfectly blended in!

      Really he was just was laying there because the water was and the sun was warm.
