Saturday six-word musings – State Park Adventuring – Photography

Today Neal and I enjoyed an afternoon lunch and hike at our very local state park.

Skidaway Island State Park is just around the bend and the perfect outdoors getaway here in Savannah.

Our hike along the Big Ferry Trail had various spots overlooking the marshes. Like at many state parks hikers are encouraged to photograph the terrain and share how it changes over time and in different seasons.

Chronolog.io partners with Georgia State Parks to
create community-powered, time-lapse environmental monitoring stations, allowing visitors to document ecological changes by taking photos at designated, fixed stations. Active locations include Smithgall Woods State Park and the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium on Skidaway Island.

I snapped a few photos and uploaded them to do my part in caring for this natural resource.
