What is Robert Cooking?

French Cooking my friends!

French crudités, pronounced kroo-dee-teh, are simply raw vegetables (sliced or whole), arranged neatly on a platter or board, and typically served with a sauce for dipping.

Crudités

Ok folks. It was far too hot on Sunday in Savannah for turning on the stove. We needed something cool and delicious.

I choose fresh broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and then decided to add spicy dill pickle spears (Wickles bring the heat!). I also needed ranch dressing so, “Let’s pack into the car.” Next stop Publix, “Where shopping is a pleasure!” (shameless plug) While shopping Neal suggested cheese and crackers too. I spied some Laughing Cow spreadable cheddar cheese. (Yes! No lactose there!) So then we had to get some guacamole, yum!

Soon our vegetable lunch had loosely resembled a charcuterie board. Adding blackberry jam and Savannah Bee Company honeycomb, we were set for some deliciousness!

Time to share!

  1. That looks so delicious. We love finger foods and cruditate and tapas when it’s too hot to cook a proper meal. And there’s nothing on that plate I wouldn’t eat.
