I guess we will see you at the farm!

The Farm Passport got Neal and me back on the road to discover more of Georgia than ever before.

We had put some miles on our Hyundai Accent. I really thought we had seen ALL of Georgia. No Sir!!!

Where to? Franklin Farms Farmstand

DISTRICT 7: East Georgia, Bulloch County

What’s Here:

U-pick Strawberries.

So we did!

Check out their Facebook and Instagram

Franklin’s has huge citrus grove but today was all about the berries. Who knew about citrus growing in little ole Statesboro, Georgia?

They also grew Blackberries, Blueberries Satsumas, Persimmons, Grapefruit, Lemon, Limes, Oranges, Honey & Pecans.

(Note to self) Don’t wear white linen when you are eating fresh ripe juicy strawberries in the field! Jedi mind trick, “You don’t see the red stain!”

(TIB) I’m 55 and this was the first time I ever picked strawberries!

Yeah for me!

Howdy neighbor! Will have try his satsumas.

  1. Fabulous and no I didn’t see any strawberry stain 😂 My mate and I went to a strawberry farm years ago. It was a nice day so we said could we just wander the fields and pick and eat as we go and not have a small bucket. The farmer looked at us, me skinny as and my mate, rather round, and said no way, you’ll eat more than a buckets worth 😂
