The Farm Passport got Neal and me back on the road to discover more of Georgia than ever before.

We had put some miles on our Hyundai Accent. I really thought we had seen ALL of Georgia. No Sir!!!

Where to? Ottawa Farms

DISTRICT 7: East Georgia, Chatham County

What’s Here:

Blackberries, Watermelon, Strawberries, Cantaloupe, Muscadines, Blueberries, Squash, Tomatoes, Corn, Egg Plant, Okra, Potatoes, Peppers, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Onions, Bell Peppers & Beef. Strawberry Festival (Apr.), sunflowers (ul./ Aug.) & corn maze (Oct.)

When we arrived at this farm, the upick strawberries had just finished and the week before was their Strawberry Festival.

The general market was open and stocked with many fresh vegetables, jarred sauces, chowchows, ciders and frozen meats.

Pet a farm animal. Sure!

One goat wanted to introduce himself to us so we headed over to his pen.

Look a pig pen too!

Grapes vine allowed for a short game of hide and seek.

Go on a wagon ride. Well, it’s not an actual ride.

Check out their Facebook and Instagram

If you go to the farm you best be supporting local producers by bringing something home! No one said you had to share once it’s home though!
